Terence Kenneth Prince

Terence Kenneth Prince, 71, of Redondo Beach, CA, peacefully passed away Thursday morning, September 13, 2012 in The Earlwood Care Center following a short illness. Terry was born on July 21, 1941 in Leicester, England to Kenneth and Beatrice (Sutton) Prince. Terry emigrated to the United States with his family in 1953. Later, he developed a passion for drag racing with his Chevy Z-11 and went on to win many racing competitions. Terry served in the Army National Guard. In 1964, he began a long career in the plastics and molding industry. He worked for many years as a Toy Engineer at Mattel, Inc. He also spent years traveling abroad to places like Spain, the Caribbean and his Native England. In later years, Terry continued his passion for restoring vintage Hot Rods. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, sailing, USC Football, and his dear Leicester City Football Club. He is survived by two sons, Scott(Danielle) Prince of Torrance and Rod(Becky) Prince of Manhattan Beach; a daughter, Tara(Paul) Peszt of Ladera Ranch and six grandchildren. He is also survived by a twin sister, Jackie (Jack) Schuster of Mansfield, Ohio and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Mr. Prince was preceded in death by his parents. An Ashes at Sea memorial service will be held on September 29, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. aboard the Pacific Spirit in the Long Beach Harbor, 429 Shoreline Village Drive #100, Long Beach, Ca 90802.
