Melinda Castin Obituary
Melinda S. Castin, 66, of Scottdale, passed away at 11 a.m. Friday, July 13, 2018 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va., surrounded by her loving family.
Melinda was born March 20, 1952 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Woodrow and Genevieve (Lieb) King. Melinda married Robert "Bob" Castin on July 20, 1974.

I had the privilege of working with Melinda at Scottdale Elementary School for many years. She would often visit during the summer months with homemade treats from her kitchen. She loved her family and the many children under her care in the classroom. She was a gem. My deepest sympathies to her family and friends.

Uncle Bob, Mark, Laura, and Sarah...So sorry for your the loss of Melinda. Deeply saddened by her passing. I know she is with our heavenly father, but that doesn't make it any easier on those she left behind. I have so many memories of my Aunt Melinda...from her walks by our house (many times while I hit tennis balls off of the publishing house) to the many family get togethers. Although distance had lessened the times we've seen each other, she continued check on us from time to time. Wish we could have been there for the service, but our hearts, prayers, and love are with you. Love, Sean and Kim.

So sorry and shocked to hear about Melinda's passing. I have great memories of her and her family on our summer visits to Pennsylvania. First time I ever had Smores was when Melinda made them when they were camping at Koosier state park with her parents Woodrow and Genevieve!
