Salvatore W. Coniglio, 86, of Vanderbilt, passed away peacefully Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at his home, while surrounded and comforted by his loving family. He was born July 26, 1923, in Cleveland, Ohio, a son of the late Andrew and Teresa Sansone Coniglio. Salvatore had been a resident of Vanderbilt for the last three years, and before that had lived in Cleveland, Ohio. He was self-employed in real estate prior to his retirement. Salvatore is survived by his brothers, Joseph Coniglio, of Ohio, and Anthony "Doc" Coniglio, of Vanderbilt; his special niece, Millie Morgan and husband, Denny, of Vanderbilt; and several other loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Salvatore was predeceased by two brothers, Frank and Mike Coniglio; and six sisters, Mary Calderone, Lena Milazzo, Josephine Wood, Delores Sabalo, and Rose and Angeline Coniglio. Family and friends will be received from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, the hour of a funeral service, in the BROOKS FUNERAL HOME INC., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville, with the Rev. Dr. Marvin C. Watson and Pastor Lee Maley co-officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in Green Ridge Memorial Park, Pennsville.
