Colleen Annie Spurlock died Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Woodland Health Care at age 80.
Mrs. Spurlock was born Aug. 27, 1926 in Fayetteville, Ark., to Henry L. and Florence (Turner) Jones. She had been a Yolo County resident for more than 60 years. She was dedicated to her family, cooked and baked pies and bread. She was a member of the Woodland Christian Center.
Survivors include Mrs. Spurlock's husband of 63 years, Clarence Spurlock; son, Bill Spurlock and spouse Carole; and daughter Karen Youngmark and spouse Robert, all of Woodland. Also surviving are grandchildren, Scott and Eric Spurlock, Edward and Sean Tatum and Brittany Shadinger; four great-grandchildren, Madilyn, Steven and Marcus Spurlock and Alexandria Shadinger. She is also survived by her brothers, Jimmy Jones and spouse Elaine of Washington, Ben Jones and spouse Jody of Arizona and Hershel Jones and spouse Phyllis of Sacramento; sisters, Hazel Ennis of Bakersfield, Lola Gregory of Washington, Daphne Shakelford of Sacramento and Wanda Frost of El Dorado Hills. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ralph Jones.
The family requests memorials in Mrs. Spurlock's name be directed to Woodland Christian Center, 441 California St., Woodland, 95695.
Services: A visitation and viewing is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20 at Kraft Bros. Chapel, 175 Second St. A graveside service is scheduled for Wednesday, March 21, at Monument Hill Memorial Park, 35036 County Road 22, Woodland at 1:30 p.m. with Pastor Richard Sinclair officiating. Kraft Bros. Funeral Directors of Woodland; Evergreen Funeral Services of Woodland is assisting the family with arrangements.
