Raymond E. Lamp, 65, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, September 20th at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady.Born and educated in Schenectady, Ray was the son of the late Raymond and Catherine (Calkins) Lamp and a graduate of Bishop Gibbons High School.A union roofer for over 15 years, Ray was an avid golfer and member of Tony Renna Golf League and the Oakridge Golf League. He loved to garden and was a diehard New Orleans Saints fan.Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Marie (Graziano) Lamp, whom he married on May 5, 1979; his cherished daughters, Danielle M. Lamp (Jeff) of Rotterdam and Adina M. DeGeorgio (Evan) of Texas; his adored granddaughters, Isabella and Olivia DeGeorgio of Texas; his siblings, Pamela Lamp of Scotia, Deborah Shelton of St Albans, WV, Richard Lamp of Matunuck,RI, Robert Lamp (Mary) of Princetown and Brian Lamp (Cindy) of Rockhill, SC; his brother-in-law, Joseph Graziano (Margaret) of Rensselaer and many nieces and nephews.A funeral to celebrate Raymond's life will be held on Tuesday morning, September 25th at 11 a.m. at Bond Funeral Home, Broadway & Guilderland Avenue, Schenectady, NY.
