Rose Sabatino

Rose Carbone Sabatino, 86, longtime resident of this city, died Wednesday afternoon at her son's home in Glenmont, NY, following an illness, in the loving company of her family. Born in Mechanicville, February 21, 1929, she was daughter of the late Guy and Frances Carbone. Rose had worked at the family operated former Central Dairy in the city, and later for the General Electric's Silicone plant in Waterford. A communicant of Assumption-St. Paul Church, Rose enjoyed playing Bocce Ball with her female friends at the Italian Fraternal Society. Survivors include her four children, Michael (Donna) Sabatino of Buffalo, Robert (Wanda) Sabatino of Coco Beach, Fla, Karen Cyr of Clifton Park and Scott Sabatino of Glenmont, along with eight grand and three great-grandchildren. Also sisters, Norma Mastropietro and Patricia Carbone; and nieces and nephews. Rose was also predeceased by her sister, Josephine Carbone. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, with entombment in St. Paul's Mausoleum. Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice of Albany County in memory of Rose Sabatino.
