Dear Sherry, you were such an inspiration to everyone that ever met you. Your kindness and positive attitude were your trademarks. I have missed our lunch times and talks together every day since you left work. I am reminded of you every time I see your signature in a book in the library. You brought so much positive energy to our office. I know this last year was your toughest and I am so sorry that you had to leave us but I am glad that you will no longer be in pain. God was saving you a place for when you were ready. Rest in Peace my dear friend. You will always be remembered for how you always made people feel important. You never hung up from a phone conversation without saying "I love you". Well, I love you too my friend. I love you too. My thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Ted and family,
Where do we start...
I met Sherry when I was only 17 years old, she and Ted were actually great friends with Jacks parents.
In the late 1980's Sherry asked Jack and I to go on vacation with them to Puerto Rico and our lives and friendship were forever bonded.
Sherry and I went skiing together, we went to the casino together (even staying overnight sometimes just to have our girlfriend talks), we would have lunches out and have dinners in together and play cards together (of course, we were partners and oh how we loved beating Ted and Jack at hearts...we didn't like to lose)...we even took a plane over to St. Thomas from Puerto Rico. She would have my grandkids up to swim with her and always made sure that there were swim toys and a lunch that the kids would love. She even made sure that our grandson, James birthday was always celebrated while he was in Puerto Rico...
Sherry had an over 20 year battle with her cancer...she was strong and would never let it get her down. Her toughest battle was this past year when she started chemo, it was very hard on her and at times she wanted to give up because it made her so sick. When she would finally get some strength back, I would always make sure to make her a dinner that I knew she loved and played cards against our husbands the night before each treatment. We cherished our time together. She called me her sister from another mother and that we were 2 peas in a pod because we thought so much alike.
A piece of my heart left me when she called me the other day and told me that she was at the end of her road and that they could do no more for her. I didn't want to believe it as I said before she is the strongest woman I have ever met.
Sherry had a heart of gold which touched everyone she met. Her smile and zest for life was contagious and she knew how to have a great time.
Heaven has gained an angel who will forever be watching over us all.
Sherry was so beautiful inside and out and I will forever cherish our memories we made together.
Rest In Peace our forever friend...
Ted and family, stay strong because you know that's what she would tell you to do...
Take comfort in the fact that she is no longer suffering...
We love you and are here for you..
Love Debbie & Jack

Ted and family,
Where do we even start...I met Sherry when I was dating Jack at 17 years old. Ted and Sherry were actually very good friends with Jacks parents. In the late 1980's, Sherry asked us to come to Puerto Rico on vacation with them and our lives were forever bonded. Sherry and I did many activities together from skiing, to gambling, (and even staying overnight at the casino in Saratoga just to have our friend time), Playing cards against our husbands (and oh how we loved to beat them), to making dinners together and even flying from Puerto Rico to St. Thomas together.
Sherry was more than generous to everyone she met and her story telling was the best! She loved having my grandkids up to swim with her and always made sure that James had a great birthday celebration while he was visiting Puerto Rico. We were even planning her and Teds 50th wedding anniversary for next summer (which of course she was determined to do herself).
She lived her life to it's fullest and never let her over 20 years of fighting cancer dampen her spirits. This whole summer was by far the hardest as she battled with the chemo that made her so sick that she more than once she just wanted to give up, but never did! I made sure that we had a nice dinner and night of playing cards before each of her consecutive treatments.
She was more than a fighter she was a saint and an angel and heaven will be brighter with her there.
I have to say that after I got the phone call from her and her telling me that she was at the end of her road that they could do no more a piece of my heart left me. I will forever hold dear to me our great friendship as she always referred to me as her sister from another mother, we were 2 peas in a pod ❤
Ted and family ... we love you all and pray that together you have the strength to hold everything together as Sherry did...
She would tell us all to stay strong...
Love and prayers,
Debbie & Jack

I'm sorry to hear of Sherry's passing. She was a caring person and always helping others. She asked me to serve on the Ballston Area Community Center board in 2001. She thought I would be a good fit. She was right, 18 years later I'm still on the board.
My condolences to her family. RIP Sherry.
