Carol Kees Obituary

Carol E. Kees of Rolling Meadows The funeral service for Carol E. Kees (nee Hewitt), 83, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Community Church of Rolling Meadows, 2720 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. Interment will be in Fairview Memorial Park, Northlake. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service, Tuesday, at the church. Born Feb. 27, 1922, in Waterloo, Iowa, she died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005, at her home. She was a graduate of Ravenswood School of Nursing and worked at Ravenswood Hospital in the neonatal department for over 45 years. She was active in the Girl Scouts and a longtime member of the Community Church of Rolling Meadows. She was the wife of Harold; mother of Nancy Kees Dunn and Richard Kees; grandmother of Jessie Dunn, Nathan Kees and Shalyn (Jeff) Rocca; great-grandmother of Nicholas and Julia Rocca; and sister of Marlys (the late Marshall) Newcome, and the late Elaine (the late William) Grunwald and Ruth (the late William) Foss. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the March of Dimes. Arrangements were made by Meadows Funeral Home, Rolling Meadows, 847-253-0224.
