I hope you all know how much Uncle Evan meant to us. He wasn't just an uncle. He was a teacher, a role model, someone we looked up to, someone who was VERY special to Dad and was VERY special to us, and was truly a second father to us. He will continue to be someone we aspire to be like. We give our love and prayers to you all.

Evan was a huge part of Bob's life. From helping a frosh get started at ISU (don't freshman ALWAYS do what their roommate says?) to getting "in" to AHS as a math teacher in 1959, Evan was always there for Bob. He was a man of intelligence, integrity, and faith. Even though we now live 1,700 miles away, both Bob and I will miss knowing that Evan is still around. But Bob also knows that Evan and Gene will be together again, feeding off each other's smart comments. Heavenly for them!
Rest in Peace, dear friend.

Dear Wilma and Family. My wife Roberta and I are so sorry to hear this sad news about Evan's passing. I have many fond memories of Evan as one of my teachers when he started his teaching career at Oswego High School many years ago. Wilma, our connection with you and Evan as the Class of 1957 advisers has stayed with us through the years at many of our class reunions. Evan was a fine man with some outstanding contributions to education, family and faith. May God's blessings be with you at this sad time. Lyle V. Johnson (OHS Class of 1957)

I am sorry to here of the passing of Evan. He was a pleasure to be with on the many different functions that the Rotary had and working with him on a project at Rolling Meadows H. S. that helped students secure scholarship programs in business.
