Around our house there was a phrase, "He is a Wally Anderson kind of guy". That was Creek speak for someone who was kind, honorable, and always there if you needed him.
Although I live so far away, I still feel the hole that is left with his passing. However, I know that he is at peace and no longer shackled to his pain. I am sure that he and Roger are organizing some Little League of Angels or flying with a different kind of wings.
I am sorry that I could not be there to show my respect. I feel honored and so fortunate to have grown up with Wally as a neighbor, an incredible friend of our family and role model. There aren't many Wally Andersons out there these days.

Andersons + Creeks conjoined.
Wally + Jeanne with Bob + Maggie.
Carol + me - just like Peas + Carrots.
How I so wanted to be Carol.... =)
Yellow Schwinn Continental 10-spd;
Had to have one just like Carol's.
Green shag carpet; Had to have it, too.
Oh, how Maggie hated it - still does.
(So it was 70s! but it's still there!)
Then Carol ALWAYS had cute beaux.
Creek clan touchstone in both good + difficult times.
Can't count times you helped or were there;
Either when needed or asked after Dad + Flynt passed...
Can't speak for rest of the Creek clan.
To me your loss is like losing a 2nd father.
You'll be greatly missed and always loved.
I'm grateful to have had you in my life.
It's comforting knowing you're no longer suffering the Parkinson's;
Comforting you have company in Heaven with Dad, Flynt,
my Uncle 'King George', + your Roger watching over all of us.
I know I still need watching over...
Love you and God Bless.
