Cherish Vaughan Obituary

SENECA - Cherish Annette Vaughan, age 16, of Seneca, passed away at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, July 26, 2007 at Freeman West Hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. 

Cherish was born May 10, 1991 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri and had lived in the Joplin area the past 10 years.  She was home schooled and had recently started working at the McDonald's location at 43 highway and Interstate 44.  She loved cheerleading and was a faithful member of Abundant Life Christian She is survived by her parents, Michelle and Gary Williford, Seneca; two brothers, James Vaughan and Cody Williford, both of the home; maternal grandparents, Jim and Marilyn Day, Seneca; father, Scott A. Vaughan; paternal grandfather, Gary Williford, Potosi, Missouri; paternal grandparents, Linda Eaton, St. Louis, Missouri, Denny Eaton, Farmington, Missouri, Anna and Chuck Vaughan, Illinois; paternal great grandfather, Walter G. Williford, Park Hills, Missouri; godfather, Roger Hahn, Farmington, Missouri; godmother, Meredith Clinger, St. Genevieve, Missouri; special friend, Leah Kinslow; and many other extended family members and friends. 

Cherish was preceded in death by a brother, Kirk A. Vaughan in 1993.

Graveside services were Monday at 1 p.m. at Layne Cemetery, Park Hills, Missouri.  Arrangements are under the direction of Parker Mortuary.
