Mary Elizabeth Thompson Curry

Mary E. Curry of Coatesville Mary Elizabeth Thompson Curry, 91, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2012 at the Golden Living Center in Phoenixville. Born in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Caleb and Nellie Thompson. Mary was the wife of the late Arthur E. Curry, Sr. with whom she shared 45 years of marriage. She was a member of St. Paul AME Church in Coatesville where she served on the kitchen committee. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary is survived by three sons, Rev. Arthur E. Curry, Jr., Warren Curry and Rodney Curry all of Coatesville; two daughters, Carol Yvonne McDuffy and Sylvia (Rev. Linwood) Smith both of Coatesville; 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Homegoing Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 14, at St. Paul AME Church, 703 Merchant St, Coatesville, with a viewing beginning at 8 a.m. Burial will be in the New Evergreen Cemetery, Coatesville.
