Owen H. Jones

Owen H. Jones of Downingtown Owen H. Jones, 75, died on Monday, August 20, 2012 at Harrison Senior Living in Christiana, Pa. Born in Coatesville, he was the son of the late Raymond F. and Janet Townsend Jones. Owen was an area resident all his life and a 1955 graduate of Scott High School in Coatesville. He was employed, for 36 years, by Bell Telephone as a lineman and more recently he was employed for 11 years by Somat as a technician. Owen was a member of the Brandywine Goddard Masonic Lodge #383, the Rajah Shrine, Life member of the West End Fire Company, the Parkesburg VFW and the Coatesville Moose Lodge #297. He is survived by two children of his first wife Joan McCarter of E. Fallowfield; Mark O. Jones and wife Kris of Ft. Mill, S.C. and Jill, wife of John Illes of Downingtown; two stepsons, James Fuller and wife Judi of Coatesville and Michael Jones of Downingtown; four grandchildren, Joshua Mast, Jason Mast, Nicole Mast and Trevor Jones; and one great-grandson Beckett Mast. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 24, from the Wilde Funeral Home, 434 Main St., Parkesburg, followed by interment at the Fairview Cemetery in Coatesville.
