Greetings and sympathy to all in the Tait family. I had the honor of serving with Bill as part of the leadership of the Legion Post 134 in the early "90's. Bill was our chaplain then, but his contributions to the post were so much more than that. His financial expertise not only left the post better than he found it, but enabled us to really make a difference in the community. His presence on the executive board and in the regular meetings helped to maintain a civility that was necessary with a group that could sometimes be contentious! He had a lot of class, but never made anyone feel inadequate or unable to be a part of the process of leadership. As someone fifty years his junior, he never treated me as less than his equal, something I assure you I am not. I will never forget his sense of humor and infectious laugh. We laughed a lot together and if that was all I remembered of him it would be enough, but I will remember more how he was a man of great faith, love and integrity; a genuine role model. I'm glad he was my friend.
May God bless and keep you, and keep the memory of this wonderful man forever in your hearts. "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

So sorry for your loss. It's never easy to lose your father. I pray you find comfort in the tremendous life he lead, and knowing his spirit lives on.
