Nancy Robison Obituary
January 20, 1934 December 3, 2024
Nancy Louise Robison, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 3, 2024, at the age of 90.
Born in Los Angeles, California, to Ivar and May Johnson, Nancy was lovingly adopted by family friend Esther Remple during the Great Depression. She enjoyed a rich and adventurous childhood, traveling the world with Esther and forming cherished memories with her adopted brother, Bob.
At 14, Nancy met the love of her life, Robert Robison, and they married when she was 19. Together, they raised four sons while enjoying a life filled with skiing, sailing, tennis, and beach days. Nancy also pursued a brief Hollywood career, appearing in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers and other musicals of the 1950s.
A talented writer, Nancy authored over 100 children's books, including the award-winning Ten Tall Soldiers. Later in life, she explored her love of history, writing about World War II and serving as a docent at the Lyon Air Museum.
Her greatest joy was her family. Nancy is survived by her three sons, nine grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Nancy was such a nice and kind person. She welcomed me as a new docent over 7 years ago. She was very proud to share her knowledge with guest and had so much enthusiasm for the museum. She will be missed. Rest in Peace.
Lyon Docent
January 8, 2025
I volunteered at Lyon Air Museum with Nancy. She was wonderful to work with and a very knowledgeable docent. She was so proud when she achieved 2,000 volunteer hours and wore the patch with great pride. She also spoke very lovingly of her adopted brother Bob. She never stopped mourning him since his loss in the North Sea during WWII when the crew was forced to ditch their mortally damaged B-17. She is now reunited with him. Rest in peace, Nancy.

I first met Nancy on a trip to Iceland. She was wonderful company and a beautiful soul. We spent 13 days in Iceland and she was fantastic. In one of Iceland's bigger cities we went to a book store and she found several of her books there for sale, so she touched many kids around the world. She will be missed. Ron
