Arthur Rawland White Sr.

MATHEWS - Arthur Rawland White Sr., 61, of Mathews, Va., passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2006. He worked for S. G. Jones & Son in North, Va., for 13 years and retired in 1999 after 20 years in the BP & S Dept. at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, Williamsburg, Va. Rawland was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann White; daughter, Ann Alverson and husband, Derek, of Richmond, Va.; three sons, Chris White and wife, Debbie, of Mobjack Va., Artie White of North, Va., and Jarrod White and wife, Ryan, of Mathews, Va.; his mother, Lois White of Mobjack, Va.; grandchildren, Tanisha and Tommy Locklin, Casey, Nikki, MacKenzie, Brandon, and Tara White; mother-in-law, Thelma Sturms of Gloucester, Va.; brother-in-law, Tommy Childress and wife, Paulette, of Port Haywood, Va.; and a lifelong friend, Johnston Kemp of North, Va. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 20, at Foster-Faulkner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Mathews. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 21, in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in St. Paul Cemetery, Susan, Va.
