Brenda Burns Obituary

WILLIAMSBURG - Brenda K. Burns, 62, died on Monday, May 6, 2003. A native of Greensboro N.C., and a resident of California, Florida, New York and finally, Virginia where she made her home of 18 years. Brenda was a member of Hickory Neck Episcopal Church, various committees of the Michelob Championship at Kingsmill, and she was the first Homecoming Queen of Florida’s Jupiter High School in 1959. She had a love for floral design and owned her own shop and she was the clerk of Court of Polk County, N.C. She is survived by her husband, Al Burns; three children, Kim, Scott and Bradley; and five grandchildren. Also her two brothers, Steve and Wesley, and mother, Donna. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, at Bucktrout of Williamsburg. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on May 9, at Hickory Neck Episcopal Church. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Her family and friends will remember her for her love of family and never ending laugh. Bucktrout of Williamsburg is in charge of the arrangements (757) 229-3822.
