Mr. Sack was my 3rd grade teacher at Wilshire Park and I have often thought of him over the years. He was one of my favorite teachers of all time! So kind and fun!

Mr Sack --- what an amazing man! He was a gifted instructor, one who helped each of our children - as different from one another as they were - learn. He didn't use 'cookie cutter' methods; instead he figured out what each one needed in order to success in his classroom, and they did.
We were saddened when he retired years ago, we mourn his passing today. May all those who loved him find comfort in the memory of the strong, vibrant Mr Sack we knew in the 80s.

Mr. Sack was my third grade teacher at Silver Oak. I have remembered him often, and with love and respect for the 29 years since.
Now that I am a teacher, I realize that his greatest gift as an educator was found in his ability to meet all of his students at precisely the point at which they were on any given day, in any given subject.

I remember Mr. Sack to be a very kind hearted man. While he wasn't my teacher, I did have some involvement with him at Silver Oak elementary.

I share years of fond memories of Mr. Sack. Bob taught me how to hold a tennis racket a long time ago. Who knew that he would later be the girls' tennis coach and still have to remind me how to hold my racket. Later he became a mentor, colleague, and my youngest son's teacher. His encouragement and wisdom has helped me become a better person. He would gently push you to believe in yourself and try even harder. I will remember his passions, interests, and dedication to education while using them in my own classroom. Looking at a globe,an origami crane, or reading a loud to my students are subtle reminders of what he strived for. To his family, hold on to the speical memories. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Gail Beall and family

I am sorry to hear of this loss to education. I had Robert for my 4th grade teacher in Park View Elementary. It was one of my best years in shool and I remember it well. He use to read to us. I remember the book, The Blue Man. I must have read it a hundred times after he read it to us. I really appreciate teachers like him and I am saddened.

To all who loved Bob Sack:
Our family moved into the area in 1973. All four of our children were blessed to have had Bob as their teacher. I got to know him well when I volunteered at Silver Oak and later worked there. Bob had the ability to make learning fun for his students, not only because of his sense of humor and wit, but also, for his warmth and caring affection for them, their families and his many co-workers. He was a remarkable man who touched us all and will be truly missed by those who knew him. We have lost a very special person.

To Bob's family: We share your sorrow over Bob's death. Bob was truly a Renaissance man, but also a "heck" of a house painter and stringer of tennis racquets. We will greatly miss our quick-witted friend and colleague.

I remember Bob ("Mr. Sack") signing my memory book in the spring of 1979 when Silver Oak Elementary school was closing. He was my third grade teacher at the time. I have many fond memories of both him and Mr. Johnson (the 3rd grade teacher in the next room), with their witty antics which made learning so fun. Educators such as the ones we had in ISD 282 come but once in a lifetime. Mr. Sack, we will all miss you!

Laurie, I am so sorry for your loss.
Bob was a dear friend over the years. I always appreciated his interest in my life, and that of my wife and son. I will truly miss Bob and his gentle ways. The last time I saw Bob, I thought, "Maybe next time I will bring Charlie along to meet him."
I can see him now at the lake house watching nature. Each time we said goodbye he would kindly remind me, "Take care of yourself and your family." He was a true gentleman.

My prayers are with the family. Bob was my tennis coach in high school. I learned so much more than tennis from Bob. He has had a lasting impact on my life. I am a better person for knowing him.
