Vicki ZAMORA Obituary
She loved her dogs Z and China and loved spending time with her three grandchildren. She was an avid collector of many things! Vicki was a strong willed person but had a very giving spirit and showed this by giving part of her liver two years ago to her good friend "Davy."
She worked at Howmet Corporation in Hampton for 30 years and her last position was an X-ray Technician.
She was preceded in death by her Dad and Mom, Mickey and Betty Mantle.
She is survived by her husband of 14 years, Jack Zamora; and her sisters, Debbie Morgan (Roc), Sheila Brown (Kenny), Kathy Backus (Robert) and Pam Kennington (Eddie); one nephew, Rocky; three nieces, Brittney, Stormie and Alex; one stepdaughter, Sandra (Keith); one stepson, Michael; and three grandsons, Bodie, Maddox and Coi.
Special thanks to her neighbor, Stacy, for her friendship and caretaking she did for Vicki and to Kim who has been her friend for 40 plus years.
The family wishes in lieu of flowers, contributions to be made to the Isle of Wight County Humane Society, P. O. Box 273 , Smithfield , VA 23431,or the American Liver Foundation, 1425 Pompton Ave., Cedar Grove, NJ 07009.

Dear Jack and Family,
My deepest sympathy to you and Vicki's family. Vicki was a very special friend who I will always remember with the fondest memories. I remember the good times at Howmet when we started in the Wax Dept. and later when she talked me into being Wax General Helpers together to avoid layoff! (And we did it! Ha Ha!!) Vicki wore every color of converse sneakers and a shirt to match to work, before steel-toe shoes were required. She was "one of a kind" and will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you and to all of the family. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your beloved Vicki, today and always. May you "Rest in Peace" my dear friend.

I worked in Xray with Vicki before I retired in 2006.Vicki and I talk about many things,especially our dogs, she loved her dogs,Jack,I am so sorry for your lose,I know how much you loved her and how much she loved you She talk to me about this several times.My condolences to you and your family.

Dear Jack, Family & Friends,
Words cannot begin to express, what our hearts feel.
Our Hearts are filled with wonderful thoughts and FUN memories of Vicki's Awesome Smile & Personality!
God must have need her Beautiful, Genuine Smile & Big Heart to help greet people & the animals when they are called home.
I know We are going to definetly be looking for her when it's our time to go home, and if I know Vick, She will be right out front with a Great Big Hug & Kisses for everyone!
And she will have her puppies & others she Loves beside her.
As a person who Frequently" held hands" with Vicki,( nails) My family & I got to know a little about her. And THIS is just some of that Knowlege.
She LOVES EVERYONE! and ALL Animals!
Vicki is a Champion for a cause if is JUST & Deserving.
Her Unique Approach & outlook on Life should be patented and used in Life training courses!( well at least studied & encouraged, people would be better for it)
Her Dedication & Caring for ALL God's creatures, whether we deserve it or not, she is there.
She smile & sense of humor is Inspiring.
Vicki Always Dares to be Different!
She was always a Friend, especially when you needed one.
So, when we see that Creature in need, the small SPARKLE on the puddle, that 1 Annoying piece of GLITTER that won't go away, or that Big Awesome RAINBOW , that is When You Definetly KNOW........
