Nancy Almond Pierce

Nancy Almond Pierce, 79, of Brick Church Road, Orange, died on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the Sentera Martha Jefferson Hospital, Charlottesville.

Nancy was born on September 25, 1943, in Fredericksburg, the daughter of the late Walter Robinson Almond and Maxine Carpenter Almond. Nancy was a member of the North Pamunkey Baptist Church and was a retired medical nurse.

Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Charles E. Pierce of Orange; two sons, Charles "Chuck" E. Pierce Jr. and wife, Susan, of Orange, and Christopher Lee Pierce and wife, Rhonda, of Orange; four grandchildren, Jaden Lee Pierce, Hayleigh Brooke Pierce, Josh Clatterbuck, and Sierra Haynes; and two brothers, Hilton Almond and wife Margaret of Richmond, and Thomas Almond and wife, Heather, of Orange.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 2 p.m. at the North Pamunkey Baptist Church. Interment will be held the church cemetery. Pastor Tim Jarrell and the Rev. Dr. Mike Hatfield officiated. The family receive friends on Wednesday from 1 until 2 p.m. at the church. Memorial contributions my be made to the Blessed Assurance Christian School, 15109 Pamunkey Lane, Orange, VA 22960. Preddy Funeral Home of Orange is assisting the family.
