Mary May Obituary
Mary Elizabeth Melton May "Mary Beth" of Palmyra, Va., passed away on December 21, 2020.
She was born on December 9, 1929, to the late Cornelius J. And Lottie Shepherd Melton. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Ida M. Johnson, George J. Melton and William Peyton Melton.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, John H. May, of Palmyra, Va. and her sister, Nancy M. Brookman. She was greatly loved by all of her nieces and nephews, which were her children, and numerous family members.
Mary Beth was a long-time resident of Fluvanna County and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.
A graveside service will be officiated by the Reverend Buddy Woodson at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2020, at Bethel Baptist Church cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are being handled by Sheridan Funeral Home in Kents Store, Va.
