Johnnie Maxine Warren, 81, of Aroda, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016, at her residence. She was born November 5, 1934, in Pontotoc, Mississippi, the daughter of the late Marion Riley Turner and Ruby Mae Purdon Turner and wife of the late Hoytt Glendon Warren. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and was a retired school teacher.She is survived by her children, Elizabeth A. Hargreaves and Phillip J. Warren, both of Aroda; sisters, Dorothy "Sudie" Clark of Tupelo Mississippi, Sybil Bedingfield and husband, John, of Eades Tennessee; two grandchildren, Erin Warren Seal and husband, Bryan, of Orange, and their children, Addyson and Ashby Seal and Travis J. Warren of Aroda.A graveside funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 2016, at Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery conducted by the Rev. Barry Penn Hollar.Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Pkwy, Suite 300, Charlottesville, VA 22911 www.hopva.org.
