Jolanta (nee Sierakowski) Szulc

Jolanta (nee Sierakowski) Szulc, age 71, passed away on Thursday, October 5, 2017, at her home.

She was born and raised in Poland. She came to the United States in 1973 and lived in Manhattan. She then returned to Poland where she lived for a year and a half before coming back to the United States. She lived in Irvington, Lake Hiawatha, Pine Brook and Rio de Janiero, Brazil before moving to Parsippany in 1980.

Jolanta was a professional ballerina for the Silesian Opera in Bytom, Poland, and many other opera houses in Poland. She also owned Dunkin' Donuts in Green Brook, NJ for 12 years.

She was predeceased by her brother, Ewaryst Sierakowski and her nephew, Robert Sierakowski.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Jan; her son, Arthur, and his wife, Shareena, of Nutley; her daughter, Anna Yachera, and her husband, Bill, of Parsippany; her sister, Sawka Zanowic, of Allentown, PA; and her two cherished grandchildren, Nicholas and Victoria. She is also survived by her dear nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Liturgy of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 11, 2017, at St. Ann R.C. Church, 781 Smith Road, Parsippany. Interment: Our Lady of Czestochowa Cemetery, Doylestown, PA.
