Hi to all Visitors,
We had a wonderful memorial service for Dad at Mount Auburn Cemetery last Saturday. Many friends came to pay respects, and Rev. Mark Edington from Harvard Memorial Chapel delivered sweet and knowing remarks after the eulogies. Very important to me, was the presentation of the US flag by the Hanscom AFB honor guard.
Dale looked well, and she brought four of her siblings - my first chance to meet them. We had 7 of the younger generations there with us, including Allyson's husband Chris.(Katie had come from Oregon to see Dad in the hospital and couldn't make it back for the service.) Aunt Flo and Dan Hritzay provided gorgeous flowers for the chapel, and later took the family to a wonderful dinner. My ex Kim sent a nice bouquet as well. It was a day of loving remembrance, some laughter and some tears. We're all so grateful that Dad was part of a vital community in Cambridge.
