Kenneth "Neka" Durio, Jr.

Opelousas - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, at the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel for Kenneth "Neka" Durio, Jr. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Fr. Paul Metrejean, Jr. will officiate the services. Neka was a resident Opelousas. He passed away on Monday, October 28, 2013, at Opelousas General Heath System, at the age of 84. Neka enjoyed hunting, fishing, plants; and most of all he loved teaching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren about all these things. Survivors include his loving wife, of 65 years Elizabeth "Belle" Gulino Durio of Opelousas, and their loving children, Fred Durio, Ken and Jodi Durio, Sylvan Durio, Charlotte and Dale Devillier, Liz Durio, Tina and Brendan Boudreaux, Albert and Roxanne Durio, Dalton and Lisa Durio, thirty one grandchildren, twenty seven, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kenneth and Eugenie Durio, Sr., daughter, Carmen Durio, son, Darrell Durio, grandson, Nicky Durio, great granddaughter, MacKenzie Fontenot. Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, from 7:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Pallbearers will be Fred, Ken, Sylvan, Albert, Dalton Durio and Charles Hicks.
