News Death Notice
WEITZ, Christopher J. age 19, of Huber Heights, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, January 24, 2012. Christopher is a member of The Ohio Air National Guard, a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, a 2011 graduate of Wayne High School where he was on the varsity swim team. He was a self taught electric and acoustic guitarist, and was a student and trained at Lackland & Randolf AFB, TX. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Max E. Weitz in 1995. Christopher is survived by his parents, MSgt Joseph W. & Pamela D. Weitz; sisters, Kelsey E. and Josie M. both of Huber Heights; brother, SrA Kyle A. Bias of Dayton; paternal grandmother, Alice M. Weitz of Dayton; maternal grandparents, Robert & Linda Goodman of Dayton; paternal great grandmother, Margaret E. Weitz of Hillsboro; maternal great grandmother, Helen E. Gooding of Dayton; many special Aunts, Uncles, and cousins; and a host of other relatives, friends, and fellow airmen. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Monday, January 30, 2012 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6161 Chambersburg Road with Father Earl Simone celebrant. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the Marker & Heller Funeral Home, Huber Heights Chapel, 5844 Old Troy Pike on Sunday, January 29, 2012 from 2-5 PM and at St. Peter Catholic Church on Monday from 9:30 AM until Mass time. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the A1C Christopher Weitz Fallen Airmen Fund at any Chase Bank.

I never had the chance to meet Chris, but from what I know he was such a wonderful pleasant human being. I worked with several former classmates of Chris and they all spoke ever so highly of him. His legacy will surely be passed on by all of his peers.

There are no words to describe how sorry our family is for your loss, we can't imagine the pain your suffering from losing Chris. One of our favorite memories of Chris is when he would stay the night with Zack and we'd have to make a late night run for food. Sometimes I wondered if those boys would ever stop eating. Just know, everyone is thinking of you and your family. Chris will be truly missed.
