Mrs Bart, Beth, Bridget, and Britney - I was so sad to hear about the passing of David. I want to thank you for sharing him with me when I was a child. I will forever have wonderful memories of Marion's pizza, football games, and of David reading us bedtime stories. I remember he would kiss our eyelids so we would have wonderful dreams. I will always remember his kind and generous nature. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Dear Mary Jo, Was it so long ago that I was at your wedding shower and we were at the boys' baseball games & at the Hauf Brau with Bud's Mom pouring us beers? Life seems to go so fast and take so many unexpected turns. It was with such sadness and heavy heart that I learned from many emails & phone calls of Dave's passing, in such a quick & definite way...doing what he was so devoted to - but it was still news that was so unexpected. My memories of him will always be of a man who was so upfront, genuine, truly concerned about the person - no matter the station in life, down-to-earth, easy to talk to, and a gentleman. He was my favorite Bart, and I will remember him with warmth and love. My heart & thoughts are with you in this most difficult time and my prayers are for you & the girls to be able to accept eventually the absence of such a wonderful husband and father, as he was in being a friend to so many. My heart is with you.

To The Bart Family, I started working with Dave in 1976 just out of High School. I named my daughter Brittany because I loved the name. My daughter now works at the Dayton Country Club where she would see him often at the Men‘s Grill (after golfing). He was handsome and always looked like he just stepped out of a GQ Magazine. Every young girl had a crush on him and why not. He was a devoted husband and father & he cared about people and the things that were going on in their life. I was shocked & deeply saddened to hear of his passing and my thoughts and my prayers go out to you and your family. He was a good friend to all that knew him.

MJ and family,

Words alone cannot offer the comfort I would love to offer you at this time. I knew Dave my whole life; learning to appreciate him more as I grew older. He alone taught me a few things about life I would never think of. There are few like him in this world; and I was privledged and honored to have known him. God Bless you all.
