Linda
I am so sorry for your lose. I never met Desi, but through our travels together I knew he was very much a part of your life. This poem was forwarded to us when Tom's mom died, I hope it brings you comfort.

TOGETHERNESS

Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room.

Whatever we were to each other, we still are. Call me by my old familiar name. Speak to me in the same easy way you always have. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, and pray for me.

Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it always was. There is absolute unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of your mind because I am out of your sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.

All is well. Nothing is past. Nothing has been lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before---only better. Infinitely happier. We will be one, together forever.

Dear Mrs. Racz and Helen and Maggie,
I am so sorry to hear that Desi has passed on. I hope you will take comfort in the many happy memories that he left behind. I will always remember his sense of humor and his calm, pleasant demeanor. I hope the boys will get to hear many great stories about their grandpa as they grow up, and that they will appreciate the great role model that he was for his daughters and his grandsons. Mrs. Racz, I know you have many friends that will help you get through this - don't be afraid to reach out to them. You have always been there to help others, and I bet there are many who will be there to return the favor. Helen and Maggie - I know it hurts to lose him, and I am very sorry for your loss and for the pain you are feeling. Let me know if I can do anything to help. I am only a phone call away! Take care, Gabrielle (Dome) Cooney.

I'm so sorry to hear of Desi's passing and know he surely will be missed. I know he has suffered a long while and that now he is free from that and with God. May God be with you and your family at this time. Sorry that I can't be there with you, but know that I'm thinking of you. Desi was a wonderful man, friend and boss!
