News Death Notice

KETTERING, Eugene Lee 61, of Xenia, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 9, 1952 and preceded in death by his father Frederick E. Kettering and is survived by his mother, Joan Ruth Dixon, Sister, Karen L. Kettering, brother in law Gregg Simmons and two brothers, Richard L. Kettering and his wife Jackie (Fawley) and brother Glenn A. Kettering, numerous nephews, nieces, great nephews and nieces as well as close friends, Moktar Reshad, Thomas Masterson, Robin Weeks and numerous others. Eugene graduated in 1970 from Xenia High School and was a member of the band throughout high school. He was a member of the Ohio Air National Guard, an entrepreneur and supervisor at Cousin Vinny's Pizza. He was a devotee of SYDA Yoga, a very positive, spiritual individual that was a mentor and advisor to anyone he could help. Services will be held on January 25, 2014 at Unity of Dayton, 6741 Chambersburg Rd, 45424 at 2 P.M. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation in Eugene's name be sent to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., 45420.
