Mr Neff and I worked in the same organization; he was in Avionics Engineering, and I was in Management Ops in the Deputy for B-1B, I was attending Sinclair Community College on a part-time basis working on an Associate's Degree. I saved the class I dreaded most for last, "Effective Speaking." Our first speech was to be a demonstration. Our teacher encouraged us to practice. During my lunch hour, I planned to dry run my speech. I was setting up my props when Mr Neff walked into the office. He came in for supplies. Before he left, he was curious about what I was doing. After I told him my plan, he said that he would stay to listen to my speech. After I finished, he gave me positive feedback. This was the confidence boost I needed. I went to my speech class that evening and aced my demonstration speech.

Our sincerest condolences to Nancy and the entire Neff family. We both had the pleasure of working for Fred in the 1980s. He was a great supervisor & mentor as well as a genuinely nice person. Prayers for peace and comfort in your sadness.
