Michael Jacobs Obituary
News Death Notice
Jacobs, Michael age 91 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, December 10, 2009 at Hospice of Dayton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Irma Jacobs, parents, Peter Jakab and Mary Opera, a brother, Peter and three sisters: Mary, Julia and Anna. He is survived by a sister, Irene Jacobs of Riverside, a brother, John and wife Sue Jacobs of Xenia. His nieces and nephews also survive him: Robert S. Perry, Marsha Mateyka (James), Kathryn A. King (Michael), Kyle A. McKiernan, Kent B. Jacobs, J. Kevin Jacobs (Sandi), William Jacobs (Peggy) and James Jacobs. He is also survived by his special friends Geri and Raymond Fernandez, Sherry Thomas and Mary Becks. Michael was a US Army Veteran of World War II, having fought in Europe with Pattons 94th Infantry in the 376th Regiment, 1st Battalion, Co. A, as a Staff Sergeant when the Army reached the Rhine River. He was a Past Master of Miami Valley Lodge #660, F&AM, a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite, Valley of Dayton, and OES Victory Chapter #594. He was also a member of Good Shepard Community Church and a retiree of Delco Products. Funeral services will be held at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME- BELMONT Chapel, 648 Watervliet Ave. at Fauver on Monday, December 14, 2009 at 1 PM with Reverend Dick Van Tine officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday morning from 11:30 AM until the time of the funeral. Interment will be in Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Community Church, Hospice of Dayton or the charity of the givers choice in Michaels memory. Michael, you were a class act. Myself and Joanne will miss you a whole bunch. You were like a Grandfather to her and I appreciate how you and Irma welcomed me into your lives. You're up in Heaven now Mike. The Lord is saying "Job Well Done"

Dear Jacobs family, I belonged to Eastern Star with Erma and Mike for many a year and also to Aldersgate Methodist Church. You have our deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one.
