News Death Notice
HALL, Mr. Patrick Lee age 30, of Dayton, departed this life and entered eternal life December 9, 2010. A beautiful, bright light and bundle of energy, Patrick was a graduate of Jefferson Township High School. He attended Western Oklahoma State University and the University of Toledo. Preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Arthur Lee Hall; paternal grandmother, Ada Davenport; aunt, Beverly Hall-Ogletree. He leaves to cherish his beautiful light and life, a loving fiancée, Mercedes Delemos; son, DaJuan and daughter, Reina; devoted mother, Patricia L. Hall (Raymond Johnson); special dad, Charles Smith; father, Andy Davenport; adoring grandmother, Lucille Hall; siblings, Jody Newton, Andy (Shaun) Davenport, Oklahoma City, OK, Kisha (Troy) Williams, Columbus, OH & Rakena Cabrera, New York, NY; aunts and uncles, Holly, Lamonte & Kem Hall, Shirley (William) Bryant, Southfield, MI, Edgar (Nyra) & Ada Davenport; cousins, Aurelia, Bruce, Demond, Welton, India, Wayman, Lamonte Jr., Andrea, Brandon, Melissa, David & Tyrone; a host of other relatives and loved ones to miss and honor Patricks bright light. Funeral service will be held 11 am Thursday, December 16, 2010 at St. Luke M.B. Church, 2262 N. Gettysburg Ave. Rev. Sylvester Walker officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens. Visitation 9 am Thursday at the church until the time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the HOUSE OF WHEAT Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Pat and family,
Although you may not even remember me, we are cousins. Arthur Lee was my uncle and Kem and Lamonte and the rest are my cousins as well and so were you. When I read your obituary and saw that we were family it only felt right to leave a message here. I really pray for the comfort and peace for your family, kids, and loved ones, because no matter what you are resting in peace and looking down on him. I hate that we never got to meet formally but I still hope you rest in peace and I hate we had to say goodbye before we even got to say hello.

All I have is good memories of you, and I pray that you prayed before it was all over with. I'm upset for not saying goodbye to you, but I couldn't see you like that. Patrick, when I heard the news I was hoping it was a mistake. When I saw your picture it put a knot in my stomach. We went to Blairwood and Radcliff together I had not seen you since we've been older. Regardless of how long it's been this tragedy is still disturbing. I know it's good to hold on to the memeories and of course that is what I intend to do. I will never forget Patrick's smile, his laughter, his enjoyment of his friends, and his joie de vivre. He made my life interesting as his English teacher at JTHS. Patrick taught me so much, and I am grateful that he was part of my life, and I am so sorry that his presence will no longer be physically with us.
