BROWN, Sally Anne Roush age 60, of Kettering passed away Friday, November 19, 2004. Sally earned her Bachelor's Degree from DePaw University, Green Castle, IN, and her Masters from Miami University, Oxford, OH where she had also worked on her Doctorate of Education. She served the students of the Kettering City Schools for 38 years, first as a Junior High School English and Speech teacher. Sally then progressed into administration where she managed programs between the public and parochial schools and helped to coordinate public relations activities for the school district. She retired in 1997 and ran successfully for the Kettering Board of Education that same year. Sally planned to run for her third term in 2005. She was also active at Sinclair Community College in the successful Tech-Prep program. Sally was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Phi Delta Kappa Honor Society and Kettering Noon Optimists. Sally is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, James A. Brown; mother and father, Chester A. and Dorothy E. Roush of Kettering; sister, Jean R. Wolfe of Kettering; and brother, John A. Roush of Danville, KY; and numerous nieces and nephews. Burial in Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
