David Eachus Obituary
Age 55, of Aston, PA passed away in the early morning hours of May 31, 2013 at his home on Kirk Road in Concord Township. Born on June 6, 1957 at Chester Hospital in Chester, PA. to the late Preston Eachus and Dorothy Mae Walker Eachus, he was a longtime Concord Twp. Resident.
A laborer, he worked many years for various road maintenance and construction companies. In the latter stages of his working career, he worked as a manager at the former Max Magee's pub. He will be remembered by friends and family as a multi talented individual noted for his achievements in baseball, basketball and cross country at Garnet Valley High School, who also excelled on the amateur golf and bowling circuits in the greater Philadelphia area. Additionally, Eachus spent a number of years as the lead singer of local area cover band "Outta Hand," entertaining at events across the Delaware Valley. A loyal and loving father, brother, and friend, he spent several years volunteering his time as a coach for his sons' basketball and roller hockey teams. Many of his fondest times were spent vacationing in the summer with family and friends in Fenwick Island, DE.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Donald and sister, Lorraine. He is survived by two sons, Joshua, 26, of Wintersville, OH. and Shane, 23, of Harrisonburg, VA, siblings, brothers, Bud and Warren of Lancaster, PA, Laurence and Steve of Wilmington, DE, and two sisters, Connie Jennings of Wilmington, DE, and Norma Kozarski of Claymont, DE.
A memorial service will be held Friday, June 7, 11 AM at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Rd., Garnet Valley, PA where friends may call from 9:30-11 AM. Interment, Private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave's memory may be made to The First Tee of Delaware, P.O. Box 419, Rockland, DE 19732

I am so sad to hear of David's premature passing.
To Dave's family: Bud, Warren, Laurie, Steve, Connie, Norma, Joshua and Shane, I offer my deepest, heartfelt condolences.
My fondest memories as a child and young adulthood were the times I spent at the home of Dot and Press Eachus. Although just a kid, five years younger than David, I knew then how special he was. He was always SO kind to me, always. I looked up to him; he seemed larger than life. On many occasions, he unselfishly relinquished his bedroom for me and my sister, Kelly. I remember it like it was yesterday. You don't forget acts of kindness or special people like the Eachus family. On occasion, I would run into Dave from in the area. He was still the same sweet, kind, gentle soul of my youth. Over the years, I've lost touch with the Eachus family, but I have not forgotten the sweet memories of my younger days. The long ago days of the annual cookout hosted by Dot and Press, all of their kids, their grandkids, their large extended family and their family of ‘friends' (because even friends were treated as family). The days of my father and his band, Duke Snow and the Driftwoods belting out classic country and rockabilly tunes, with Steve leading the way on drums. I am so blessed to have such beautiful memories of a beautiful family, and beautiful memories of Dave Eachus.
RIP, Dave...you were one of the good guys.

I grew up with the Benningtons and Mimi and Preston Eachus. Just found out about Dave's passing today and then found out that I missed the funeral. I wanted to go there to pay my last respects.
Dave will always be an integral part of the fond memories my youth, always thought he was really cool and kindhearted, had a bright mischievous spirit, and introduced me to some really good music. I just played some J. Geils in his memory. My condolences to his family.

I'm so sorry to hear about Dave's passing. We played baseball together, went golfing at Clayton Park all the time, but we went late in the day when we could play for free. I loved the big parties the Eachus family held every summer, and usually ended up staying at the house for the rest of the summer. I'll never forget brother Steve's Chevelle, and how he gave us a thrill driving fast on the back roads of Bethel Township. RIP Dave.

Dave will be sadly missed by all who knew him. He was one of my oldest and closest friends. A man of simple pleasures - a game of paddleball on the beach, Friday night poker game or a round of golf with his boys. Nothing on this world made him happier or more proud than his sons. There was never a child or dog that Dave couldnt make friends with. Vacations in Fenwick wont be the same without you Dave. Be at peace my brother.
