Doris Landsberg Obituary
Landsberg
Doris (Reese) Landsberg, 87, of Wilmington, DE, entered into rest peacefully under hospice care on Monday, March 25, 2013, with her family by her side.
Nan or Aunt Dee, as she was loving known, was born in New Providence, a daughter of the late Robert T. and Esther (Findley) Reese.
Nan attended a two- room schoolhouse in New Providence and graduated from the former Quarryville High School in 1942. As a teenager, she worked at the former Hamilton Watch Co. and in later years, after moving to Wilmington, managed the Cross Country Shop, a clothing store in the Independence Mall. Among Nan's loves; were her animals, working in her yard, gardening, and attending her grand and great grandchildren's activities and sporting events. In her later years she enjoyed traveling.
She is survived by a son, Herb, husband of Judi Brubaker; a daughter, Carol Purcell; grandchildren: Rich, husband of Corry Windon, Brandi Purcell, Josh Purcell, Nicole Rowe, Zoee and Carissa Brubaker and great-grandchildren: Taylor Purcell, Richie and Abby Windon and Austin Rowe. A brother, Thomas Reese also survives. She was preceded in death by her husbands, H. Lee Brubaker, William Barry and Roy D. Landsberg; and a sister, Roberta Shepardson.
Funeral Services: Monday, April 1, from Zion U.C.C., 900 Winter Hill Road, Strasburg, PA. 17579 at 11 am. Viewing at the church from 10-11 am. Interment will be in the New Providence Mennonite Cemetery.
Please omit flowers; contributions may be made to your local Humane League or local Hospice.

Doris had a wonderful sense of humor. I loved her laugh , her smile and her resilience.. She was a great mother who deeply loved her children and grandchildren and spoke about them often, with pride. She will be greatly missed.

Goodbye Ms. Doris from the Dell'Oso Family. You welcomed us in our new home 11 years ago, and you were a wonderful neighbor. You and Roy were so very kind and thoughtful. Jake and Luke will miss your kitties and your flowers. We will light a candle for you and remember you in our prayers.
