Marc Mathis Obituary
AGE: 46 • New Castle, DE
Dr. Mathis departed this life September 21, 2017. Father of Marqué C. Mathis and Mamie C. Mathis; son of Clarence and Gloria Mathis; grandfather of Michael C. Mathis; also survived by a host of other relatives and many friends. Dr. Mathis was a graduate of Norfolk State University, Wilmington University, and the University of MD College; a member of Alpha Phi Alpha and Bethany Baptist Church. Dr. Mathis was the Founder and Managing Director of Matron Development and was also a Director of the National Minority Angel Network. Funeral 11AM, Tues., October 3rd at Bethany Baptist Church, 1121 Tilghman St., Chester, PA; viewing 9am-10:45am only. Burial, Gracelawn Memorial Park.

This is Mamie Mathis daughter of Marc Mathis. I am happy that my dad had great friends,business partners,and family that supported my family thru this terrible death. My dad was a great man he was always hleping and always guideing people thru hard times. This was my best friend he helped me thru everything thru school, boys, and mainley my mom. My dad always told me that if he died he would still be there in sprit just not in form.his message to me before he died was '' Hey Shug daddys going thru somethings right now but it wil be ok Harvard Universty is where i want to to go. Not throwing shade on him but I dont know if i want to go to Harvard i bearly like school now but my dad was all bout the schools he helped me with my homework and everything even if he wasent here with me. My dad always said in the two years he had cancer '' Im not scared to die im scared not to live'' and thats what told me that its going to be ok even if he's gone I cry mostly everyday just thinking about him but he didnt want us to think about the death think about how hes not in any pain anymore well im not going to pluck your nerves as my dad would say im going to say thank you to everybody who came to the funeral and sent your candles and flowers to me and to his alpa aka brothers all he did was talk about yall thank you for keeping him happy as could be and to damon john i want to thank you the most for everything you have done just cause of you i watch shark tank well this is who Mamie Mathis the daughter of Marc C Mathis.
