Aunt Sallie & Family, so sorry to hear of Uncle Scottie's passing. Over 60 years together and a beautiful family---what a wonderful legacy. So many wonderful times were had at your house when we were young. May God's love help you through this sad time, and may you draw strength from each other.

Dear Sallie, Last night at the Commodore Bar reminded me of my last night with you, Scottie and a grandson. It was the first night of a week-long celebration. The only way to get here is to fly from Guernsey or take a converted gun-runner from Cherbourg, so no locked doors. It was utter mayhem. While women danced on the tables, men engaged me in the most serious conversation about the state of the world. "If you think that was wild, you should have seen the bunkers," advised a bleary-eyed flight attendant. I miss you both.

Sallie and Children, I am so sad to learn of Scott's passing. What a fun person he was, Chalky always had his "Scott" stories and our fun times at the Old Mill. You were blessed with many years together and may all those memories comfort you. Our heartfelt sympathy to you all.
