David MacIntosh Obituary

David Samuel MacIntosh, 36, of Ridley Park, PA previously of Norwood, PA, entered into eternal life the morning of March 12, 2021. Lord David of Scotland loved most things in life and life seemed to love him back. He was happy-go-lucky, generous, and kind. There was never an adventure or an experience he turned down. DMac, as he was known, was an avid reader and Stephen King fan. He was written about in the Stephen King novel, Revival, after sneaking onto King’s property and leaving a letter. He enjoyed X-files and the Twilight Zone. He spent much of his free time at concerts or watching Eagles and Flyers games when he wasn’t “picking stuff up and putting it down” at work as a mason. He graduated from Interboro High School and regularly attended mass at St. Madeline’s in Ridley Park. Dave loved nothing more than spending time with children and animals - both of which gravitated towards him. He had an indescribable bond with his nieces and nephews. Dave was, in fact, too weird to live and too rare to die. He is survived by his fiancée, Erin McDermott, his parents Samuel and Joyce (née Cabry) MacIntosh, his grandmother Joan MacIntosh, and his devoted pets Herbie, Tully, Stevie, and Elvira. He is also survived by his siblings Jason and Molly Biddle of Prospect Park, PA, Michelle and Thomas Johnson of Norwood, PA, and Sam and Mia MacIntosh of West Chester, PA— as well as his nieces and nephews Breanna, Laci, Cassie, Noah, Abigail, Adalaine, Ruby and Mick, his future mother and siblings-in-law, Karen, John Jr., Ryan, Nick and Emily McDermott, and countless aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was welcomed into eternal life by his grandparents Michael and Lynne Cabry and Samuel MacIntosh, his aunts Karen and Donna Cabry, and his cousin Sarah Markun. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Thursday after 10:00 am in the church of St. Gabriel, Mohawk Ave., Norwood followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 am. Int. St. Thomas The Apostle Cemetery, Glen Mills. Friends may call at the Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood, Wednesday eve. from 6:00-8:00 pm.
