Dearest Baby boy....love of my life....I miss you and pray for the day we see each other again. I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I fondly remember tutoring Marty. He was bright and a pleasure to work with. One of my fondest memories is when the ice cream truck passed the house right after tutoring. That's when I found another one of his talents was running. He was a delightful young man. May you find peace in your memories.

My heart is heavy tonight as I think of Marty and his time spent with us at Lynnewood...that smile!...He stopped to see me in my office the summer after he finished his first year at Garnet Valley and we laughed about the past and talked with joy about how well he was doing at GV. My family's thoughts are with all of you during this heartbreaking time. Although I didn't know Marty very well, my kids did. He was my daughters' first boyfriend in Middle School, fortunately they remained friends over the years and my son played sports with him. As I listened to my children express their feelings and recall some memories over the past few days, it is obvious Marty had a contagious smile, was a good person and friend to many. In time, we pray that every thought of Marty brings a smile to your face and your heart will hurt a little less knowing he is playing in the Big Leagues now.

My daughter went to school with Marty at Lynnwood and kept in touch with him through social media since then. She and many of his other friends from elementary school were devestated to learn that such a sweet friend was so tragically taken from them. Please know that there are many, many of his friends who are keeping you in their thoughts and prayers. I am so very sorry for your loss.
