Paul Tomlinson Obituary

Paul Vaughn Tomlinson, Sr. of Broomall died at home on Monday, Feb. 29, after a long illness. He was 75. Born in Philadelphia in 1941, Mr. Tomlinson grew up in Ambler, PA, where he formed many lifelong friendships. He met his wife, Kay, in Middle School. He attended Ambler Joint High School and graduated from Germantown Academy in 1959. In 1960, they moved to Schwaebisch Hall, West Germany, where they welcomed their first child. After leaving the Army and returning to Pennsylvania, three more children followed. He worked at Safeguard Business Systems as a self-employed distributor for forty+ years, and was involved in the Jaycees, and Marple Business & Professional Association. He and Kay traveled extensively, laughed often, and enjoyed time spent with their grandchildren. Paul loved to dine at his favorite restaurants, and enjoyed golf with his friends. Mr. Tomlinson was predeceased by his wife Kay (nee Kleinfelder) of 49 years, and is survived by his four children - Paul Jr. (Suzanne), Drew (Kitty), Dana (Tom) Kauffman, and Stephanie (Patrick) Morris– and his eleven grandchildren – Sarah, Kyle, and Cooper Morris; Alec, Sean, and Brian Tomlinson; Wil, Robert, and Scott Kauffman; and Eva and Finley Tomlinson. I knew your Dad as one of the fathers involved with the Boy Scout troop at St. Marks and I can never remember seeing him without his infectious smile. My thoughts and prayers are with all the family as I know he will be missed.

Dana,
Your dad sounds like he was a wonderful man. I'm sure your mom was just as special. And from what I know they did a wonderful job raising amazing children and had such an impact on the grandchildren. May he fly with the angels and always look after you and yours.
xoxo,
Marie & family
