David Price Obituary
Eden, MD—David Price, Jr. went to be with the Lord, on May 7th. at his home in Eden, Maryland with his wife of 64 years by his side. He was born to David and Florenda Price of Luzerne County, PA on July 5, 1926.
He served in WWII as a Gunner Forthe US Navy, aboard a Merchant Marine Ship in the Pacific Theatre. He was married to Marie O'hop Price on Thanksgiving Day in 1948 and then moved to Baltimore to be near his brother,
Elijah in 1951. He operated Dave's Barber Shop and Dave's Marina in Baltimore for many years, retiring to the Eastern Shore in 2005. He was a graduate of Baltimore School of the Bible and a member of Inveruess Presbyterian Church, where he served as Elder and Sunday School Superintendent.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Price, two daughters, Lisa Marie McShane and her husband Patrick k. McShane of Baltimore and the Honorable Paula A. Price and her husband Gregory E. Padgham of Princess Anne, four grand-children Amber Marie Burke, Patrick K. McShane II, Rebekah Lynn Mc Shane and Samara Eve Padgham, four great- grandchildren, Timothy Burke, Patrick K. Mcshane III, Riley McShane and Laney Burke along with one sister Florenda Weisenflue of Philadelphia.
A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 11th at 2:00 PM in First Baptist Church in Princess Anne . The Rev. Jamie DeVaughn will officiate. Friends may call at the Church on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00PM and on Saturday from 1:00 to 2;00 PM. Interment to follow in St. Peters United Methodist Cemetery in Oriole Contributions may be made to First Baptist Church, PO Box 448, Princess Anne, Md. 21853.
