As a graduate of Friendship Central Class of 1957 I had Mr. Mancuso for several classes, he was one of my favorite teachers and I learned a lot from him. He always set a good example for us to follow. I am saddened to learn of his passing.

To the Mancuso family:

I was saddened to learn of the loss of Mr. Mancuso – an excellent teacher, but perhaps more important, a mentor to class after class of young men and women. He led by example, allowing his students to see how to lead a productive and fulfilling life – professionally and personally. I believe he was one of the most admired and influential individuals in the lives of those who were privileged to know him.

I am certain each of you knew much of this, but I feel I can speak for the vast majority of his students – we gained so much more from Del Mancuso than just history. We gained a very large dose of life lessons, so subtly administered we never knew it.

Thank all of you for sharing this very special man with so many of us. We are all so much richer for him.
