LuAn Koch Obituary
Greece: Passed away peacefully on April 12, 2016 at the age of 83. Predeceased by her daughter, Mary Clare Koch. LuAn is survived by her loving husband Charlie Koch of 65 years; sons, James (Rachel) Koch, Tom (Mercedes) Koch; foster son, Michael Thrall; grandchildren, Gavin Koch and Meghan Koch; sisters, Lois Denton and Sandra (Albert) Coote; several nieces and nephews. No prior visitation, services and interment were held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be directed to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes) at 26 Broadway, 14Th Floor, New York NY 14004 in LuAn's memory.

Our family just became aware of Mrs. Koch's passing. We are so saddened to hear this news and offer our condolences to all the Koch's. We lived across the street on Ridgewood Rd and have many memories of our neighbors and friends, the Koch's. Our family will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.

My sister LuAn was a beautiful person - smart, caring and very artistic. LuAn exercised her talents in many ways, especially through drawing and painting, photography and use of her computer literacy.
LuAn was an active member of St Lawrence Parish in Greece, N.Y. for more than 50 years, where she was always a willing volunteer and resource person for both the church and the school.
Over the years LuAn designed and produced scores of beautiful liturgical banners to grace St. Lawrence for all manner of church festivals. Also for many years LuAn used her photography and computer skills to produce church/school bulletins, school calendars, and school pictures.
LuAn was also a long-time supporter of the CURE for Leukaemia Organization.
Sadly, in her latter years LuAn was unable to continue with these activities as she slowly succumbed to the heartbreaking ravages of Alzheimer's disease. It has been a terrible loss for all of us who knew and loved LuAn.
Albert and I will always cherish our memories of fun times and travels shared with LuAn and Charlie. LuAn is, and always will be deeply missed.

Lu Ann was a beautiful, kind, caring lady. She brightened our day each time we met somewhere in the Greece community. Seeing her and Charlie in Wegmans was a special treat. Our hearts and prayers go out to the family at this tender and difficult time.
