Rochester: Marion Julia Raeman Holden our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away surrounded by loving family on August 28, 2015. Marion was born April 23, 1927 in Rochester, NY to Hippoliet and Celesta Raeman. Preceded in death by her parents; sister Pauline (Robert) Decker; brother Floren ("Slim") Raeman and sisters-in-law Rita and Marion. Marion met and then married her lifelong love, James Ellis Holden, on October 11, 1947. Marion is survived by her husband Jim, her children and their spouses, Michael (David Merritt), Craig (Angela), Mark (Terry), Jim (Sharon), and Wendy (Chris) Pettine. Marion was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 6 great-children, who brought her tremendous joy and whom she loved very much. Family was the most important thing in her life, and she is greatly missed.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the caring staff at Edna Tina Wilson Living Center and at Lifetime Care Hospice. Family and friends may visit the family to express condolences and share memories from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, September 1, at Arndt Funeral Home, 1118 Long Pond Road (south of Maiden Lane). Funeral Mass will be held at 9:30 AM Wednesday, September 2 at St. Charles Parish's Holy Name of Jesus Church, 15 St. Martin's Way. In lieu of flowers, Marion's family suggests donations be made to PFLAG of Rochester, or to Smile Train.
