He was a frequent award winner as a sales representative, national account manager, and field manager. Ed's career began in 1976 in Denver with the Kremers-Urban Company. In 1985, Ed joined Wyeth Consumer Healthcare as a District Manager. With Wyeth, Ed held numerous positions of increasing responsibility. Ed retired from Wyeth in early 2008. Ed continued to excel in athletics throughout his life, completing dozens of marathons (fastest time at 2:42), holding club championships in both golf and tennis, and was an avid biker and skier. Ed was also a loyal and tenacious Colorado Buffalo fan and supporter. Ed now joins his heroes, Mickey Mantle and Elvis Presley. His legacy is his infectious enthusiasm, positive attitude, competitive spirit, and unwavering sense of humor. Ed is survived by his daughters, Kathryn and Rebecca, his two granddaughters, Taylor and Ember, his brother, Bob, and his sister, Marilyn. An informal visitation will be held at The Fairmount Mortuary on Tuesday, June 24 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Eddie was simply one of the funniest and most charismatic characters I've ever known. He had a vibrant energetic personality and was a natural charmer. He was a fierce competitor in very sport he played, it was an honor and pleasure to play football along side him. I have many great memories of good times with him, he'll be greatly missed by all of his old friends. My deepest sympathys to all the family.

Ed was the kindest boss a person could ever have. His uplifting stories, jokes were always welcome during our visits together. No one will ever know the lives he touched just by totally being there and caring. My family is better off for having known him. Our love goes to his family at this time. But what a legacy of fun and enthusiasm he left for all of you. We will miss his happy greetings and thoughtful ways...thanks Ed, You ARE the best.

I first met Ed when we were in 6th grade in Stamford and knew immediately that he was a special guy. We went through high school together and subsequently both moved away. I last saw him at a high school reunion some years ago but he was the same great guy he always was. I am so sorry to hear about his death, but take some comfort in the fact that he did, indeed live life to the fullest. This is a sad, sad day for all his friends. My sincere condolences to his family and all who knew and loved him.

To all of Ed's family and friends,

My deepest sympathy in the loss of your dear dad, grandfather, brother and friend to so many. As we all know, Ed holds a unique and special place in all our hearts and will be missed immensely. I pray that all of those that mourn this wonderful man will be comforted with God's love.

Ed,
You are one of a kind...without a doubt, the best manager I have ever had. Although I only knew you for a short time, I feel as if it was a lifetime. You, my friend, so full of life, always had a way of brightening my day...making me smile and laugh with your incredible sense of humor! As I have told you many times, let me say one last time until we meet again, Ed, You're the BEST!!! May God grant you eternal life and peace in heaven.

With deepest sympathy,

Michelle Jeffrey

Words cannot express what Ed has meant to me personally and to my career. I've been with Wyeth Consumer Healthcare (formerly Whitehall), like Ed, from the beginning in 1985 up to the end in 2008. Ed is the main reason I stayed with the company so long. He taught me everything I know about pharmaceutical sales. Most importantly he showed me how to have fun and do a great job at the same time. When he was my boss, I always looked forward to him coming to town to work with me. Work was just more fun when he was riding with me. The district meetings he planned and conducted were the best. I always returned to my job with renewed enthusiasm and increased competency. I also became very close to my colleagues in the Denver District. Ed was skilled in hiring "special people," the kind that would become my lifelong friends. I have so many great memories thanks to Ed Dunne. I pray that God will comfort those closest to him and I look forward to seeing him again when it's my turn to leave this life.
