I was a young Vietnam veteran in 1975 when I began dating his daughter, Erin. I wish I had shown him more respect. I had a bad attitude about the military after my experience. I didn't know it at the time but the man was a true WW 2 hero. If you can hear me in heaven sir, I salute you, and sincerely apologise.
