Rose Yura Obituary
YURA, ROSE NAMIYE
Rose Namiye Yura, 77, of Redmond, WA, passed away on December 31st, 2006. She was born August 6th, 1929 in Chualar, CA. She is survived by her daughter Kerin (William) Benack, and by her granddaughters Caia and Brianne Benack. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Kiyoshi Yura. A memorial service will be held Saturday January 20th at 2:00 pm at the Denver Buddhist Temple, 1947 Lawrence St., Denver, CO. Donations may be made to The Children's Hospital Foundation, 1245 E. Colfax Ave., Suite 400, PO Box 5585, Denver, CO 80217-9142.

Rose Yura was my Cub Scout Den Mother in the late summer of 1967 just after we moved to Colorado. Her son Tommy was one of my best friends!

I worked with Rose in the downtown D&RGW/SP office. She was always upbeat, professional and a very proud parent. She survived the interment camp and loss of her beloved son long before I knew her, but she kept the memory of her son alive with warm words and memories. She was a good friend and will be missed. My heartfelt condolences to her family.
