Yeme E. Miwa

1920 - 2017

Yeme E. Miwa, 96, born October 24, 1920 in Scottsbluff NE, passed away peacefully in her sleep Sunday May 21st, 2017. Yeme met Stanley her husband of 66 years, during a trip to Japan in 1939. They were married in Jan of 1943 in Scottsbluff NE where they owned and operated ABC nursery from 1959 until the early 1980's. After retiring they spent the winter months in Mexico where they enjoyed deep sea fishing and relaxing by the ocean. They moved to the Denver metro area in 2000 to be closer to their children and grandchildren. Yeme is survived by sisters Miyako Otsuki of Lakewood, CO and Lily (Hank) Hayano of San Diego, CA, brother Gene Yokomizo of Arvada, CO, son Keith (Randi) of Centennial CO, daughter Sheri (David) of Castle Rock, CO, son in law, Jon Monk of Grand Island, NE, several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers Joe, Keiji, and Junior, sister Rose Inouye, and daughter Sandi Monk. Funeral Services, 1pm, May 27th, Denver Buddhist Temple.
