Carla was a dear friend and roommate many years ago at BYU. What a choice year we had together thanks to her kind heart and acceptance of all of us.
Carla has led the way to our eternal home. I am blessed for having known her!

Thinking of you Carla. We met a few times at family functions. You always had such a lovely smile.

We are deeply saddened to say goodbye to our amazing friend Carla Ogden. Over the last five years we have enjoyed her engaging spirit, her quick wit and wry observations, often while trading offerings of baked goods or watermelon. She loved good food, just not very much of it.

The unspoken matriarch of Blaine Avenue, Carla taught us all by her example to be accepting, generous, positive and inventive. She enjoyed being busy and insisted on doing her own yard care, gardening and shoveling of snow until those tasks became entirely impossible.

It was clear that Carla's passion for church, family and music were always central to who she was. With rare exception, Carlas silhouette could be seen carrying what looked like ten pounds of piano music as she methodically navigated rain, sleet, ice and snow to perfect her talents at the ward keyboards.

Though the physical burdens life laid in her path would drop any strong man to his knees, Carla persevered undaunted. That she did it with grace, charm, a cheery outlook and without complaint is only part of why she was so special & so loved.

We will always remember you Carla, and miss you.

We are so sorry to say goodbye to our amazing friend,Carla Ogden. She lived life as a champion, seemingly undaunted by the physical challenges that life laid in her path. For the five years we were neighbors, we were in awe of her drive for to maintain her independence. She enjoyed performing the chores of shoveling snow, gardening and yard work until those tasks became literally impossible.

Carla's music and faith were very important to her. Whether in sleet, rain or snow, daily Carla's silhouette could be seen carrying what must have been ten pounds of music books, with a methodical gate, to play piano at the church.

Revered by all who knew her, Carla was very much the matriarch of Blaine Avenue. As such, she set the tone for each of us with her grace, determination, cheery spirit, unfailing wry observations and generally quick wit.

She was Invictus personified, living her life unbeaten and unbowed by the unusually harsh burdens that would drop any strong man to his knees.

She was a joy to be around and an example of just how strong a woman can be. We will always remember her and miss her.

It was such a privilege to play 4 hands
piano with Carla once. She was such an
impressive pianist, so sweet, charming and unassuming. Real lady. She will be missed.

What an amazing Christ-like woman.. I am privileged to be her cousin. I I have loved her from the days I tended the three girls to today. She always went out of her way to support our family members on special occasions. She served family members selflessly. She took my sister, Joyce, and me to meet our mother's cousin, a relative on the side of our family not related to her. She is now with her wonderful parents and I hope she is dancing.
