Francis A. "Bret" Young
Francis A. "Bret" Young, 74, of Sultan, Washington, passed peacefully, surrounded by family and loved ones in his home, (Paths, Adult Family Home, Monroe, Washington).
Bret retired from Wolfkil in the early 1990's to enjoy the great outdoors, he had a true appreciation and fascination with nature. Bret never sat idle, always busy doing something
He loved hiking and fishing. He treasured his time spent working on his property. Bret led a simple life, respectful and humble. We will so miss the glint in his smiling eyes. He will be remembered as a good father.
He was preceded in death by his infant twin great granddaughters, Brianna and Renna; his mother, Lula; and father, Francis.
He is survived by his only son, Todd Young Sr., and wife, Wendy, of Sultan, Washington; sisters, Arleen Wick and Juanita Young; brothers, Raymond Woeter and Dick Woeter; grandchildren, Todd Jr. and Lexi; and great grandchildren, Areanna and Sydnee.
A Memorial and Celebration of his Life will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, September 23, at Foothills Four Square Church, Monroe. (Call Mariam Zinn for directions, 425 330-9491).
Our prayers were answered:
There are no words to express our deepest gratitude. Special heartfelt gratefulness to Mariam Zinn, P.A.T.H.S. Adult Family Home, for Alzheimer's or the Medically Frail, of Monroe. She exceeded all expectations; her compassion, love and skill are truly a gift from God.
The level of personalized care was exceptional; she never left dad's side in her home or in the hospital. She made sure dad could come home and pass in peace the way he had wanted too. She was there day and night until the end. She has been our rock, caring for dad and she held our hands during and after dad's passing, she continues to help us, even when she too is grieving. We hope you are able to fill your opening quickly and know whomever it is, man or woman, will be blessed to be under your care. With great respect we say: Thank you, thank you Mariam.
